General information & Logistics
Access/PARKING
Our drive way access is off Rototuna Road. There is parking available outside our studio enterence. We do ask that as you drive into and out of the parking lot you keep to the left to allow access both in and out simultaneously.
Fees
You can find out about fees by contacting us. All fees are GST inclusive.
Please note some classes have increased in price from last year as they have increased in length ie Primary ½ hr – ¾, Grade 1 ¾hr – 1hr, Inter Found 1hr – 1 ½ hr.
Payment
Invoices are given out in the first class of term via email. There is a 2 week grace period to pay before funds are due. If fees are paid in full before the due date, a $15 admin fee will be automatically removed. A receipt is sent out once fees are paid.
late fees
If fees are not paid by the due date, all effort will be made to remind you. If any fees outstanding at the end of the term, without contact being made, your student's place in the class may be passed on.
refunds
As per our terms and conditions, no refunds will be given out once the term has commenced and payment is made. If a student is removed from a class before payment is made, the invoice is cancelled but you will be asked to pay a casual fee of $20 per class attended.
Class Viewing
At Limelight, we hold two ‘Watching Weeks’ a term for class viewing. We encourage caregivers to view the classes, as you are then able to assist your child at home with practise.
Please note no photos or videos to be taken in class
Observers must be quiet when viewing and should leave immediately if becoming disruptive, and remain outside for the rest of the lesson.
Please remove all footwear, other than dance shoes before entering studio.
NO FOOD OR DRINK, other than water may be consumed in the studio.
Cell phones must be on silent.

Extra Class
Want to get some extra practise in? Well…
For Primary to Grade 4 ballet you will be able to book in an extra class of the same level. The cost of the second/third class will be $50 for the term. The roll will not be able to exceed our maximum number of pupils in the class, so spaces will be limited.
Private lessons are another way of getting in that extra practice whether this is throughout the year or one-offs before an examination. Book these here.
Uniform
All uniform items, dance school t-shirt’s, tracksuits, open leotards, bags, shoes, hair accessories and character skirts can be purchased That’s a Wrap, 8 Clyde Street, Hamilton East.
Second hand gear
We have a new Facebook group where second hand gear can be bought or sold, click here to join the group. Please ensure all gear bought or sold on here is current regulation, and of good condition. No responsibility is taken for the incorrect item being purchased, or if the item is not up to standard for events such as exams or shows - you will be asked to replace it.
Class Changes
Please let the office know if you have any changes to your classes, if you are not returning, or if adding or deleting a class. As some classes have waiting lists, it is important to let the office know if you are not returning to your class, in some cases you may be charged for full or part term if you do not contact the office.
Absences
If your child is going to be absent from a class, please let the office know either by text or email, and if possible please make up the class you have missed by attending another class of the same level within the term. Make up classes need to be booked in with the Office to ensure there is space in the class.
Grooming
At LDA we do understand life is busy, but we would just like to reinforce the level of grooming we expect in the dance school. Students are expected to have uniform requirements within the first three weeks of attending class. For all classes hair is to be off the student faces. Tidy fringes are acceptable. For Ballet classes we ask all students to have their hair in a secure bun with wispy parts clipped back.
No make up or nail polish to be worn to class and no jewellery except plain studs to be worn.
Being well groomed gives students a sense of occasion and pride in themselves.

Phone queries can be made to the office between the hours of 9.30-2.30 Tues-Fri.
If you do need to get in touch outside of these hours please email queries, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Getting Involved
The annual end of year show is a big job. To make it happen we need many volunteers, there are all sorts of opportunities for you to get involved in from helping set up fundraising events, painting props, helping run backstage, the list goes on. If you are able to lend a hand in any way we would love to hear from you. Please email the office to register your interest. Thank you in advance!
